Pittsburgh — Bridges, Rivers, and a City Rebuilt

Pittsburgh is one of those cities that catches you completely off guard the first time you see it. You come through the Fort Pitt Tunnel and the entire skyline opens up at once — three rivers meeting at the Point, hundreds of bridges, the gold of the West End Bridge framing the towers downtown. For me, it is the contrast that makes Pittsburgh special: a former steel town that turned itself into a centre for medicine, robotics, and AI, without ever losing its blue-collar warmth.

The collection I have built for Pittsburgh tries to honour that contrast. You will see the skyline take centre stage in most pieces — U.S. Steel Tower, the gothic-glass spires of PPG Place, BNY Mellon Center, and Fifth Avenue Place — but there is always something grounding it, whether that is the curve of the bridges across the Allegheny and the Monongahela or the silhouette of Mount Washington above.
