About the Inspiration (Atlanta Edition):
Atlanta — A City in a Forest, On Your Wall
Atlanta calls itself a “city in a forest” and it earns the nickname — you do not really get how green this place is until you fly over it. But that is only one of Atlanta’s contradictions. It is a major modern metropolis with deep Southern roots, a hub for the film industry and one of the most important Civil Rights cities in the country, a place of both glass towers and tree-lined neighbourhoods. Drawing Atlanta means holding all of that at once.
The skyline itself is rewarding to work with. The Bank of America Plaza, the Truist Plaza, the iconic Westin Peachtree’s cylinder, and the long view from Piedmont Park all have strong presence. But Atlanta also has a different kind of beauty in the details — the BeltLine, the Krog Street Tunnel, the curve of the Olympic Park cauldron. I try to let a sense of the city’s green, layered character come through in every piece.
You will find Atlanta in every format the shop offers. The Atlanta skyline prints are available vertical or horizontal, in eighteen different colour schemes, from soft pastels to bolder watercolours. The 3-piece Atlanta wall art looks especially good in living rooms and hallways. There are Atlanta city map prints in four detailed layouts, retro Atlanta posters with classic travel-poster character, and hand-drawn Atlanta illustrations for something softer.
The Atlanta collection goes to a mix of people: ATL locals, Georgia Tech and Emory alumni, former residents building gallery walls, and a large population of professionals who have moved to the city for film, tech, or finance and want to honour it on their walls. It is also a regular gift for couples who got married in the city or honeymooned elsewhere after getting engaged here. Personalisation with names, dates, or specific addresses is welcome at checkout.
If the Atlanta style you are imagining is not in the collection yet, message me and we will create it together. New versions of existing cities are always free of charge. Made to order, proofed digitally first, and dispatched quickly from local studios.
